Tonight, join us for a night devoted to David Lynch’s Twin Peaks as we celebrate the release the new record The Laura Palmer Deviations by the band A Place Both Wonderful and Strange.

Originating as a solo work for 2014’s Eraserhood Fest as the after-show for David Lynch’s Unified Field art opening, The Hidden Life of Laura Palmer later evolved into a sonic and visual duet between the band and other performers, touching on ambient, contemporary electronic, noise, and of course standard Lynchian sounds to “tell the secret tale of the final hours in the tragic life of Laura Palmer.”

Tonight, join us for a unique performance of this work, preceded by an Illustrated lecture by Stefano Black examining the recurring themes and key moments of Lynch’s films in an attempt to understand what Lynch attempting to communicate via his depictions of the liminal, the subjective, and the supernatural.

Stefano Black is an NYC-based writer, presenter, musician, and filmmaker. He can be found on Twitter as @StefanoBlackest, sharing humor, criticism, and poems about the meaninglessness of life. He is available for hire or divinations, and time is gonna get you either way.

Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is canceled.
