Join us in the Rare Book Room as Joanna Ebenstein, co-founder and creative director of the one and only Morbid Anatomy Museum in Brooklyn, celebrates the release of her new book Anatomical Venus. Joanna pulls back the veil on these life-size dissectible wax women reclining on moth-eaten velvet cushions complete with glass eyes, strings of pearls, and golden tiaras crowning their real human hair.

Evan Michelson, Morbid Anatomy Scholar in residence, co-owner of eerie East Village Obscura Antiques & Oddities and co-host of the Science Channel’s show, Oddities, will join Joanna for the discussion.

Introductory remarks will be made by Morbid Anatomy Museum co-founder and board chair Tracy Hurley Martin.
