Tonight, join us as we celebrate the history of Goth as seen through the (always black and white) lens of Propaganda Magazine with its creator Fred H. Berger. Published from 1982 to 2002, it was the most preeminent Goth magazine and long lasting subculture publication in the United States.
The night will begin with a conversation and moderated Q and A with Evan Michelson of TV’s Oddities and Mr Berger on our new beautiful couch. Following will be a party, featuring a special Propaganda photobooth by Rose Callahan and Kellfire Desmond Bray, DJ Andi Harriman spinning historical goth tunes, and special libations. Please bring your goth scrap books, old propaganda magazines and random gothic ephemera for a special one-night only display! Also, bring your old diaries and illustrated letters to read aloud at our open mike, and email your most dazzling 80s/
This Event is part of our Gothic Vernacular Weekend, first being “You can’t Kill Me I’m Already Dead” An Illustrated Lecture with Evan Michelson on October 2nd, on which more here: http://bpt.me/1881679
